Rising Stars Football Camp is a non-contact camp where your child may learn the skills, techniques, and desire that it takes to perform at the best of their abilities for the sport of football. We will strive to teach all the participants how to attain the goals they set for themselves.
Registration 2005

DATE: July 16th, 2005. Registration opens at 8:00 am at the park.

LOCATION: Springfield Park in Mauldin, South Carolina.

PRICE: $75.00 for a first child, $65.00 for each sibling thereafter.

AGES: Any child between the ages of 6-16 may attend.

DIRECTIONS: 385 to butler rd, exit 34, turn right to Alexander’s nursery. Turn right, down on right.

Attending Coaches

  • Danny Ford: Former Clemson head coach. He compiled a 96-29-4 record in 11 years at Clemson through 1989.  He coached 21 All-Americans and 41 players who went on to the NFL. He went on to coach at Arkansas from 1993 to 1997
  • Toby Cates: Played wide receiver at USC from 1990-1994. He received ALL-SEC honors following the 93 & 94 seasons. Joined the Cleveland Browns in the NFL in 1995. Toby also won the Grey Cup Championship in the Canadian Football league with the Baltimore Stallions.
  • Lamont Calhoun: Was the quarterback at Lees McRae from 1995 thru 1998, where he finished with five school records and achieved all-American status after his last season.
  • Anthony Smith: Attended Appalachian State from 1989-1993. As a wide receiver for those years he set and holds combined records.
  • Otis Smith: Also headed to Appalachian State to play wide receiver from 1993-1996. He received all conference honorable mention twice during his career there.
  • Kelly Smith: Played outside linebacker for the Furman Paladins from 1984 thru 1987. Was voted the most valuable freshman in ’84 and went on the win the C.Johnson Moore award following his senior season. Played for the National Championship in 1985.
  • Chris Speaks: Played Quarterback for the Furman Paladins from 1984 – 1987. Was on the 1985 team that competed for the National Title.
  • Jimmy Francis: Played free safety and other defensive back positions while at Clemson during the 1983 and 1984 seasons.
  • Donavan Norman: Played wide receiver at USC from 1996-1999 along side of NFL stars John Abraham, Marcus Robinson and Kalimba Edwards. Donavan received all conference academic accolades for three consecutive years. 1996-1998.


Other quality coaches may be added prior to the camp date.

Coaches are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Attire:

  • Shorts and a T- shirt will be acceptable.
  • Mouth protectors and cleats are encouraged.
